Come, look through my frame |
|
I write stories and poems that can be loosely defined as autobiographical fiction. Great writers have always drawn heavily from personal experience because real events bring us closest to rubbing up against what psychiatrist Carl Jung called the archetypes. Truth is stranger than fiction is a common expression of this phenomenon, and what truth lacks that fiction adds is context. The word fiction itself derives from drama as the frame of the stage through which the audience views the play. The crafting of the fiction is what brings the archetypal already present in daily life and dream into conscious awareness and understanding. So come, look through my frame and find, perhaps, a part of your own self long overlooked. |
